Born in Akron, Ohio, on November 3, 2002, Nick was the beloved son of William “Matt” Young and Denise Young. He graduated from Wadsworth High School in 2021 before continuing his education at Baldwin Wallace University, where he earned bachelor’s degrees in finance and business administration. His dedication to his studies reflected his determination to build a meaningful future, and he carried that same commitment into his professional life after graduation.
Nick began his career as a Surety Associate at Westfield Insurance, where he brought a strong work ethic and enthusiasm to his responsibilities. An athlete at heart, he enjoyed soccer and track and field throughout high school and college. He also loved working out, fishing, spending time outdoors, listening to country music, and cheering for his beloved Cleveland sports teams. These interests gave him opportunities to build friendships, enjoy life’s simple pleasures, and create memories with the people closest to him.
Throughout his battle with cancer, Nick demonstrated extraordinary courage and a determination that inspired those around him. In June 2026, he participated in the Race to Cure Sarcoma and served as a guest speaker, sharing his experience to raise awareness and encourage others facing similar challenges. Even during difficult moments, he continued to draw strength from his faith and the support of his loved ones. His devoted girlfriend, Gillian, was especially dear to him, while the love of his parents, brother Matthew, extended family, and friends remained an important source of comfort throughout his journey.
Nick’s memory will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his parents, his brother, his girlfriend, his grandparents, extended family, dear friends, and his beloved dog, Ember. Visitation is scheduled for October 18, 2026, at Auble-Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home in Wadsworth, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial on October 19 at Prince of Peace Parish in Barberton, with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the sarcoma program at Cleveland Clinic in his memory. May Nick’s family and friends find comfort in their shared memories, strength in their faith, and peace in knowing that his courage and the love he gave will not be forgotten.
